Writing Since I was ten whenever somebody asked what I wanted to be I would say an author. For me, writing is a calling. Stories are a way to verbalize and communicate what you've been through and what you believe while also providing someone a temporary escape from reality. There's a connection between a writer and a reader. A sort of silent understanding that both sides aren't always necessarily aware of. Writing is also the sort of thing you never truly perfect; there's always something new to learn. A new technique or rule or a different genre to try. I started to learn how to write like I think most people learn how to, in an English class. My Mother also read to me often when I was younger and eventually I grew an interest in writing my own stories and sharing that excited feeling I always got when reading. I would suggest writing to other people, even if just casually or in a journalistic style, because it's a great way to relieve stress and get out your personal thoughts when you don't always feel like you can express them out loud.
Skills Writing Teaches The good thing about writing is that it is a multifaceted sort of skill that bleeds over into many aspects of nearly everyone's lives. School, for instance, requires a certain level of skill in writing in order to write essays or satisfactory answers to questions. Multiple different jobs also require these same sort of skills, requiring a certain understanding of writing in order to finish reports or even just email one's supervisors. The process of writing also grows a person's vocabulary and skill over whatever language they are writing in, and as such further their ability to communicate with others. As writing is just another way to communicate one's ideas it only serves to reason that it helps a person also better put together their thoughts and convey them while speaking.
